I’m generally very careful about my word choices which is why it annoys me to no end when I write a post about controlling behaviors and someone comments “I believe the word you’re looking for is ‘narcissist’”. Like nah bitch I’m not writing this way because I don’t know the word “narcissist”, I’m writing this way to demonstrate to you and everyone else that it’s possible to write about abuse without using words that collapse together personality disorders with patterns of abuse.
